My Top 4 Writing Projects for January 2019

And so 2019 has arrived! New beginnings, new projects, new commitment to bring the best of myself to the world.

I have so many projects planned for this year, and I hope I can get through more of them than I did last year. It’s not that I want to overwork myself. It’s just that I would like to tick a few more off my list than before.

With that in mind, there are four major projects I want to work on this month. I’ve been mentioning them in my social media feed lately, and I would really like to tackle them hard this month. In no particular order, here they are.

My second Silent Hill novel has been a long time in the works. And this was mostly due to running my own publishing business. But over the last two months I have been more committed to writing the novel. And this month will see me going back to more planning and development, as some elements seem to be missing, and I would really like to add them to the story. So the next few days will be filled with more novel development, with me hopefully back to writing next week.

Those who are subscribed to my Silent Hill: Obversion Newsletter have been receiving some juicy details on the novel and story, and know way more than anyone else as to what is coming. On weekends I will be spending some time doing some sketch teasers on locations, creatures and weapons, just to wet that appetite.

Silent Hill: Obversion Horror Novel

I am still eager to release Silent Hill: Obversion and my dark fantasy novel, Malum: Rise of the Deadly Sins at the same time. This has been a great success so far, with both novels being at the same stage of writing and development.

Act 1 has introduced most of the main and secondary characters and their abilities so far. Remember, the book series is inspired by the Diablo game series, so you can expect to some awesome abilities, creatures and lore in this novel.

The Malum: Rise of the Deadly Sins newsletter should be starting soon, where I will start sharing character cards to introduce them and their abilities soon. Make sure you subscribe and don’t miss out. Also, subscribers will be receiving a free ebook copy upon release, as with Silent Hill: Obversion.

While PeaHead Games is still busy with development on their upcoming cyberpunk game Neon Sword, I am busy working on the fiction based on the lore of the game, thanks to the developer signing me up to do so. First up is Rise of the Sixth, which focuses on the start of one of the gang factions of the game and how it led to the synthetic enhancement drug, Blue.

In all honesty, this story should have been completed already. This month will see the completion of the story, which will then be shared by PeaHead Games on their website for the game.

I’ve been working as a writer for Antreya Studios for more than a year now, for their upcoming epic fantasy steampunk MMORPG, Antreya Chronicles. Since then, we’ve worked on the lore of the game, which includes the factions, races, gods, character abilities, dialogue, quests and items.

Lead writer Dean Clark and I have also written fantasy novel Heroes of Antreya: The Journey Begins, which introduces readers and future gamers to the basic plot of the first part of the game. The novel was published by Celenic Earth Publications and we are working on a sequel.

We’ve been hard at work lately writing the in-game books that will be discovered by players in the Antreyan online world. Some of these will simply be lore for players to learn more about the factions, gods and races, while others will tell legendary tales of past heroes and weapons.

This month will see me completing my lore list. I have been slow in completing these, and would like to see me complete more of them over this month. I cannot share details on titles of books or their contents as yet, but will let you know when we can.

It will indeed be a busy month for me, but I will be doing what I love, so who cares. I also want to be providing more updates than I regularly do, so expect some more of that from me.

With Warm Regards – The Count of Celenic earth
